You'll just need to find the setting that determines how many starting planets are allowed and then overwrite that setting.Good luck, though. EA certainly didn't make it easy to mod Spore.

Save files are in the same location for all versions of Spore. C:UsersyournameAppDataRoamingSporeThe servers are still up, but you need the latest version of the game to login. You can download the latest update on Origin, Steam, and GOG.The game cannot be updated if you install from disc (it does not support the new EA Origin updating system), but you can get a free copy of the game on Origin if you have any proof of purchase (if you know your old account, it'll still be linked to it, or if you have the serial code from the manual). Those instructions are here, under Registering Spore on Origin:Most likely you'll need to go though EA support if you don't have your code or it doesn't work.if you're rebuying on Steam, then you won't have anything to worry about.

It'll already download the latest version of the game, and as long as the files in AppDataRoamingSpore are still intact, all your saves and creations should be there. First thing to try: Open up C:UsersyournameAppDataRoamingSporePreferencesDelete the login.prop file. This will clear your login info from the game. Try logging in again.Are you logging in with your old Spore account? That would eliminate any account issues.
